Probe ordered into reports of tourists, locals posing as servitors on chariots

The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has started an inquiry after learning that several tourists and locals allegedly posed as servitors and climbed atop the chariots of the sibling deities during Rath Yatra in Puri on June 20. As per the standard operating procedure (SOP), only duty-bound servitors were supposed to remain present on the chariots during Rath Yatra.
