Heavy rain and gusty winds have commenced in Odisha as severe cyclone Dana, moving at 12 km/h in the Bay of Bengal, approaches. The cyclone is expected to make landfall near Bhitarkanika and Dhamara by Thursday night or Friday morning with wind speeds up to 120 km/h. Evacuations from vulnerable areas are ongoing.
