Highest electoral violence in Cuttack, 8 districts report nil cases: Odisha Assembly data

During the 2024 simultaneous assembly and Lok Sabha elections, Odisha recorded 316 cases of electoral violence. Cuttack district had the highest number, while eight districts reported no incidents. No Maoist-related violence was observed for the first time since 1998. Notable incidents included the killing of a BJP worker and the arrest of an Independent candidate.
