SAMBALPUR: Half-burnt bones of an elephant were recovered by a four-member STF team of Crime Branch, Odisha, from Kolgaon and Tablei areas under Sambalpur forest division’s Dhama forest range on Sunday. STF DIG Jai Narayan Pankaj said: “We have informed forest officials about the development.”STF officials said, while some big pieces of bones were recovered from the forest near Kolgaon, ashes were recovered from the Tabalei area. The bones and ashes will be sent to forensic laboratory to ascertain the animal’s age, gender and when and how it was killed, the officials added.
