The Nabarangpur district administration has joined hands with Singapore-based Codeversity.club to bring quality coding education to 30,000 tribal students absolutely free of cost. The district administration launched Mission Nabrangpur Codes – an initiative to bring coding to tribal students of classes 9 and 10 in 183 schools. Students from underprivileged backgrounds face challenges like language barrier, lack of proper device and finance to take up coding. As many of them do not have laptops and personal computers, that also becomes a barrier for them to access coding education. Lastly, coding courses for kids offered by EdTech companies are too expensive.
