2 days after bail, man jailed for 20 yrs for teen’s rape

A 27-year-old rape accused, recently released on bail, has been sentenced to 20 years rigorous imprisonment for the repeated rape of a 16-year-old student. The fast-track court also imposed a Rs 10,000 fine and directed Rs 5 lakh compensation for the survivor. The trial concluded within a year of the May 2023 incident.
